Common questions about volunteering at WDCI

While membership is not required for most volunteer opportunities, we encourage volunteers to be regular attendees who share our church's vision and values. Some leadership roles may require membership or a longer commitment.

Volunteer opportunities are available for all ages. Children's ministry volunteers must be 18+ and undergo a background check. Youth volunteers (13-17) can serve with parental consent. Family volunteering is encouraged!

Time commitment varies by role. Some opportunities are one-time events, while others require weekly service. Most ministries ask for 1-4 hours per week. You can choose what works best for your schedule.

Yes! All volunteers receive orientation and role-specific training. We want you to feel confident and equipped to serve effectively. Ongoing training and support are also provided.

We understand that things come up. Please notify your ministry leader or the volunteer coordinator as early as possible so we can find coverage.
